I was goin home after arguing with my girlfriend, and a white turbo 240 sx is behind me closing in on me, I heard him gunning it so I downshifted to 2nd once he was about a car behind me I floored it, and he pulled half a car closer until I got higher in the rpm ranges, and I started pulling and he shut down. He did a fly by and a yellow s2000 with a carbon fiber hood followed right behind him. Light in front of us turned red and they both started talking, I was behind the s2000. Light turns green and I managed to get next to the s2000, he asked if I wanted to race, and I said I was down. First race was from a 2nd gear roll, my rpm's were only at 3200 rpm so he got a jump on me, I missed 3rd, and I shut down. He slowed down so I could catch up to him, and I told him to go again since I missed third. This time we went on another 2nd gear roll, this time at 43-45 mph and I pulled on him slightly in 2nd, 3rd gear I pulled another 3/4 of a car, and shut down with about 1.25-1.5 cars ahead of him. We started talking and he said that he used to have a 3.5se, and that its a monster on the freeway. He said he would take me from a 1st gear roll, but that Id own him on the freeway. I donno...thought s2000's are pretty quick on the freeway. All in all it was fun, I got some of my anger out by racing! By the way no cars or people around whatsoever, this was on a kind of deserted strip. 3.5SE I/E > S2000....with a carbon fiber hood lol
I "raced" an S2000 on an open highway one time. He was pretty modded by the sound and look of it. He was cruising along at about 60 MPH and my friend said I should try to get him to race. So I came alongside him and he started laughing because he had heard and seen my exhaust(ridiculous 5" tip). I dropped to 3rd and hit the gas. I quickly got a carlength or two but then I heard his exhaust and he was about 5 or 6 carlengths ahead of me pretty quickly.

yea they're pretty badass once they hit 5-6k rpm. But we should still be able to go head to head with them on the streets, or pull a car with minor mods only. I dont think Ill be able to beat it on the freeway though.
man dont be scared, trust me!! they are quick, but dont be afraid of the 9k redline the altima has top-end that is well respected. RUN HIM!!

most likely it would of shitted on both of them; my friend has a 91 sr20det powered 240 and that shit is scary fast. he breaks the tires loose in 3rd gear; up next for it is widebody kit and some beefier/stickier tires. even though he spent way too much money on the car. good race though dude

it is, but a stock sr20det isnt that fast. its faster than the KA, but its really not that impressive. when its upgraded thats when that motor comes alive
