Nismom gave me the OK, thought I'd open a topic where people could post kills that aren't worth a thread per se, but try not to post boring crap like "killed a Civic in my VQ". Post them funny or different races.
I'll stat with one, just to set the "tone". Couple weeks ago I ran into a ricer I see around downtown Lincoln on Friday/Saturday nights. It's a riced out older Civic: body kit, lowered, dual exhaust conversion, probably CAI, the "works". I had just made one of my VERY rare stops at a Starbucks, as I'm not usually a coffee drinker. It was a Saturday morning, very light traffic and I approach this dude at a stop light and I smile to myself. I look over and smile, he had one of his wigger friends with him, they both look over and give me the "homey nod" and the dude revs his engine. Light turns green, he takes of with a cute chirp and I just casually squeeze the pedal. As I'm passing him rather quick, as I let him jump ahead by a carlength, I am purposely taking a sip out of my coffee as casual as I can and with the corner of my eye I see his passenger looking at me and beginning to laugh. At the stop light ,wigger friend still laughing and the driver looking really pissed. Light went green and surprisingly he didn't want a "rematch".
Now I know how Wild Willy used to feel stomping competition left and right. I can only imagine how pissed that dude must have been to be trying so hard only to be beat by some random guy in a rather plain-looking Legacy GT, sipping his coffee.
I can say wigger, right? Or rather, white rapper poser kid?
Not so funny for me. I got a ticket last year for going 48 on a 40 while I spotted an SE-R in my SE and I was trying to catch up to him hoping for a race. Man was I pissed. Could have been worse, could have gotten pulled over while we were actually going at it! Only one SE-R in town and driven by a dude who went "bling" crazy with it. Rims, etc.

I've got an amusing story, but it's before I had my Nissan.
I had a '94 Dodge Stealth with a 5 spd and the SOHC 3.0L V6 (no mods at all at this point) with an anemic 164 HP. Anyway a buddy of mine was looking at buying a 200SX SE-R at the time, and he had told me he would race me because he thought he could take me in one. So I was driving home one day and pulled up behind a white 200SX SE-R that looked like it had some work done(lowered, after-market rims, 5" tach mounted on the dash, probably some other stuff but I couldn't tell).
I thought I might try to race him, so when the light changed I got around him and flew by to try to encourage him, but he seemed preoccupied with his passenger. So a couple lights down I finally get next to him and give him a little rev to let him know I wanted to see what he had, he looked at me and nodded and revved. The light took forever to change, and stupid me thought I had enough time to change the CD real quick and in the middle of this process the light changed and he took off. I dropped the CD, slammed the car into first and took off with a butt-load of wheel spin. I manged to start to catch him by the end of first, and began to pass and pull away towards the top of second, then shifted into third and let off a few moments later. I was about 1 1/2 car lengths ahead of him so I pulled in front of him and slowed, and turned on my turn signal to try and get him to follow me so I could talk to him about his car, but he kept going straight.
Needless to say I called up my friend and told him what had happened. He still ended up buying the SE-R anyway but we never got a real chance to race before my car was totaled

Civic yesterday for me...We were at a light and I was not paying attention to him..I was in a hurry ..had an appointment, had to get back to the office and then pick up my 4 year old at school.
So I take off somewhat harder than normal and this guy seems to think I am racing him....I hear this gawd awful noise coming from the side of my car as he was reving and powershifting........I never looked over and just Nailed it......He faded like a brand new black cotton shirt in hot water.......... I let off after several airport lengths because I was coming to a light...He come up and starts beeping and following me giving me the thumbs up and pumpin his hand like it was a good race...The he stops at the next stop sign and waits for me...Leaning out the window.....I just pulled up beside and went on my way..I pretended like I never even knew he was there......I really was not racing the guy...Just wanted to get away from the fool

a few weeks ago heading to the drive-in with my girl, and 3 guys pull up next to me in an old $$ Camry looking car. looked like the late 80s early 90s model. We are in the Altima. At every single light this guy driving would floor it. sounded like the exhaust was missing after the header. basically open exhaust sound. I wasnt even giving it gas and stayed ahead of this car, but you can hear him flooring it until he would hit 3rd gear or so and sounded like the car couldnt make it. My girl started laughing her head off. at one point we were wondering if he was trying to blow up his car. 1 time at a light i decided to let him realize its not worth trying to race me, so when the light went green, I went half throttle while hearing him going WOT and left him like he wasnt moving. I slow down and cruise and he does a ricer fly-by. I didnt do it again since I didnt want him to keep trying an end up killing the motor and him and his friends would be walking home. The motor sounded like it was on its last leg of life even without the open exhaust sound

Willy you posts are priceless!!! EL OH EL - airport lengths, thats a new one.
Hehe I just dropped my daughter off at daycare and all of a sudden some corolla S came behind me, ridding my a$$ down a side street. He then veered off to the other side of the road to pass me (1 lane each direction). Figuring he was going to be a jerk, i kept it in second and left him far behind. Which brings me to my point, it seems like whenever I see a corolla S on the roads, they are usually driving irratically, and I can't help but laugh

I wasn't a part of the race, but I was behind an LS1 Camaro and this riced out Honduh Civic pulled up beside him at a stop light. Just by the idle it sounded like the LS1 was cammed. To my complete surprise the Honduh started revving on him. I just shook my head and didn't think the LS1 would do anything, but no. The LS1 revved back which was pretty deafening.
The light on the perpendicular traffic went yellow and then I the Honduh revved a lot more. So I take a look at the LS1's tires and they have to be at least 310 drag radials. Once again I didn't think the Camaro would do anything, but no, wrong again. I hear him rev up to whatever RPMs and then I was in complete shock... he pre-loaded his suspension.
So at that point I pretty much determined;
A) That car should NOT be on the road.
B) It is a drag car.
I'm convinced if he had revved his engine up to his normal drag speed that he would have done a wheelstand. The gap he put on that civic was amazing. The only thing I've seen that resembled that was with the big funny car/ top fuel drags when engines go ka-boom.
I think it was dumb to do that in traffic, but it was very amusing. Much like the time a guy in a van bitched out a Snake because he and a Viper were revving up on eachother and his son was sleeping haha.
well i got an uncle with a sleeper. he has an 86 dodge charger. the only defining factor is the GLH logo and the big a$$ SHELBY on the back of it. any wayy its a 4cyl with 340hp!!! it has a 20lb bosst turbo. we drag at the strip and weve beaten anything from LS1's to dodge vipers that cant drive lol. my personall experience is a eclipse with a CAI i got him by half a car and i tied a spec-v when he only used 4 gears cuz thats all i have. my high school holds races during free periods soo i will update you guys soon. we have GTO's SRT4's and a couple 70's muscle soo it will b funn
just the other week i was driving to class and some scion xB was driving like an idiot and did a ricer fly by, at the next stop light i sorta just glanced over at him and started laughing. he revved, and you know i had to represent for the QR and put him and his 1.6L in place. haha
Couple weeks ago on my way home a black, older and in poor cosmetic condition Ford Probe GT was lined up at a light with me. Up ahead the road merges from 2 lanes to 1 with ample time to move over. Light went green and my lane was closing so I gunned it. He realized it and slammed on it too (manual trans he was) but had no chance in hell, I left him in the dust. He hung behind me at a good distance and suddenly, about 6 minutes later I see him approaching fast. I was bored, it was evening so I gunned it too but I had no chance to make up his speed gain. He passed me but I managed to slow his gain considerably from 60 to 90. What an idiot. He wasn't gaining anymore and if I would have kept it at WOT I would have started reeling him in good in 2 or 3 seconds. What I should have done though was touch my brakes so he could see I wasn't running, this way I gave the impression that I tried but he was the f4st4r, nevermind the 4 buslength headstart. Oh well, stupid on my behalf, he probably felt better afterwards. I watched him just keep going like a deuche at 90+ on 65 speed limit. I don't lose sleep over it, it don't matter that much and besides, Lincoln isn't a particularly big city and odds are we'll run into each other again. It always happens that way.
Another one similar to this, I lost to a Cavalier with intake and exhaust. Reason I ran him is because he ran a Civic stoplights behind me and I watched the whole thing, the Civic lost. He already had a good start and I decided to gun it, he thought he'd pass me but barely did. Next light up ahead he revved at me and all that crap, light went green and boy, he must have launched it at a good 3k RPM. He lurched ahead but was spinning his wheels insanely. I didn't even launch, I just rolled and right as I was besides him and was about to pass, a truck got in my lane so I let off, he passed, I got behind him and passed him at around 75 which wasn't cool on a 45 zone. I keep telling myself shit like this ain't worth a ticket and for the most part I behave, but sometimes ... Either way, you should have seen the dumb look on this kid's face and his girlfriend when I passed. I let off, slowed down and he drove by and gave me the peace sign. Idiot, he now thinks his Cavalier can take down Legacies GT.
Like I said, I'll run into him again and show him that loudness and wheel spin LOSE races, they don't win them. It was funny as hell though because he was making a ruckus and still went down eventually to an "unremarkable" car.
One of these days what I'm gonna do is when a ricer revs, I'll rev back, act all eager to go and when the light will go green I'll just keep stopped, let them go and I'll just roll casually. But I usually like crushing egos better, if I did that they think I chickened out or lost. There's always the next stoplight though
I have another if no one objects .... hah too late!
Anyway a buddy of mine used to have an '01 Intrepid R/T. Sweet ride, had every option available - sunroof, heated leather, dual exhaust tips, etc. Anyway he thought his car was the shiznit and he was always telling me how he'd beat this car and that car out on the hiway with no problem. So he tells me he wants to race me now.
I'm like ok sounds like fun, he has 55 horse on me but I have a 400 lb weight advantage, so I figure it might make it pretty even. Anyway we get out onto Loop 1 around midnight and there's no traffic, so we slow down to about 40, I downshift into 2nd we honk and go. Almost immediately I pull ahead, then shift into third and keep on pulling. By the time I let off at the top of 3rd I'm about 1 1/2 cars ahead. he calls me on my cell and says how shocked he is I beat him so easily, and we go our separate ways.
Then a few days later I'm talking to him and he brings up the race again, and he says he thinks he may have been in the wrong gear since he was using the bump-shift mode. But all the numbers I've seen online say my car should be at least a 1/2 second faster than his in the quarter, so I just brushed it off as a win anyway. We never got to race again tho because his car was totaled a few weeks later by an idiot driving w/out his lights on.
