i am rolling on kumho ecsta ASX all-seasons. they hook up pretty good. i slipped the clutch at 2700RPM.
i had 3 runs that day, all of them were 14 second runs. the first was a 14.9, the second one was the 14.2, and the third one was a 14.5. i was in the bracket racing and i got eliminated in the first round. i hate it when someone is on the verge of breaking their dial-in and then they slow down to stay in it, thats what happen to me, and the other guy crossed the line .08 seconds before me, i dial in at a 14.0 and he was at 14.8...bitch ass civics!
How wide are the tires? I need some good tires this time when I go to the track. I am sick of launching with turenzas.

hey leathe, whats up with your sig bro? did u trade in your car for a 2.5?
Yup, I did. I couldn't beat the 2.5S MPG! I'm getting 25MPG in the city now.
Seems the previous owner had placed on a 3" tip exhaust. Probably a ricer. Replacing that with a stock muffler. The badging is also a little off. I can only imagine what the previous owner was thinking with this car. I transferred my wheels over. Got it for a great deal!
It seems a little faster then your usual 2.5 as well. Kind of wierd. Must be the exhaust.
I also noticed the muffler is also off by a bit. Guy was probably trying to go with the ricer muffler tilt. Gur!

instead of getting the same size tires as the stock ones i opted out to get wider tires with a somewhat lower profile.
since the stock wheels are 17x7.5 i was able to get a 225/50/17 tire without any issues. a little more lateral grip helps alot, and to tell you the truth it doesnt chirp as much anymore cuz it has the grip it needs, and the tires are pretty grippy as well for all season.
The intake has probably added little to nothing over stock.
Good times.
well obviously not when its 90F outside...DUH!
if it was colder out, i could almost guarantee that i wouldve ran a 14.0 and trapped at 101 or higher.
btw before this run i left my hood opened for about an hour and a half in order to get rid of some of the heat in the engine bay. it seemed to work since the run that i did after this run i left the hood closed and i ran a 14.5
next time im gonna go there with a cooler and 2 bags of ice and a big towel to put over the intake manifold.

Do you think you can fit 245/45 on the stock 17x7.5?
Actually, I feel that there is a gain from the 3". I can burn-out 3rd gear now when before I could only get it to chirp. Heck, shifting into second gear from first is useless since it'll send me bouncing off the redline. The smoke show though always freaks out everyone at the meet-spot since they think it's a 2.5. There was a Maxima that dyno'd with/without a cut-out and gained 12WHP. Going with a 3" is the same deal, 'cept a little less gained. I've also removed my catalytic converter if you want to say that the 12WHP was gained because of the absence of the cat. Nitrous also looooooooves exhaust flow. The more open the exhaust, the better.
You're such a little baby.

i do not believe a 245 would fit on a 7.5" wheel, that size tire would be too wide for the wheel, and would cause too much flex in the sidewall if it did fit.
