Juiced SE-R @ Import Faceoff- Tulsa, Ok

Whats up guys and gals I finally made it out to the track last weekend and I had high hopes but it didnt end up going as well as I would have liked. I made 5 passes throughout the day with my best E.T being a 13.23 and my best MPH being 113. It was my first time out on the drag radials and also the first time to really run the car after installing the window swtich from dynotune. I was spraying a 100shot all day, I set my window switch to spray at 2K so pretty much coming right out of the hole. I had traction issues all day long and I guess thats what I get for trying to spray a 100shot right out of the hole but I was being hardheaded so thats what I get I guess lol. My best 60ft was a 2.01 and that would of been the easy 12sec pass I was hoping for but when I got to the top of second gear the car started breaking up and it dropped a cylinder so I got out of the nitrous as well as the gas pedal and coasted down the track. The C5 Corvette that I was running that race ended up going 12.85 and I was out in front of him by 2 cars at the 600ft mark so it def would have been interesting to see what I would have run that pass but oh well what can you do. It ended up just being a bad coil so I replaced it with another coil and made 2 more passes after that with no trouble at all.

Here are two of the videos from last Sunday and I will be the first to apologize for the guy saying "oh shit" in the background vs the SRT4. That is one thing I hate when people run their mouth during a video but oh well it is what it is. Here you go....

Dodge SRT-4 vs. Nissan Altima SE-R with Nos

Nice times sean. 13.23 is very fast and must be great to experience.
Just a few questions and comments.
Window switch activates the nitrous? Where did you put it in the car? The door? Whats it look like and how did you get it to work at 2000rpm?
Will 100 shot do anything to your car? Hurt the engine? I have heard people on here say 75 shot won't hurt the engine. same for 100 shot?
You were right about the video. Too bad he didn't keep the camera on you the whole time. Other video was great. I hope someday to do a 75 or 100 shot in my car. Someday.
Cheers

100shot is just about the max you'd wanna run on stock internals afaik.
Great runs and times man.

Yea its fun but you always wanna go faster and I think I speak for everyone. The window switch controlls the nitrous by rpms. You can have it come in in first gear at whatever rpm you want and then so you dont spray in between shifts you can set it to turn off right before your redline. I had mine set from 2,000-6,500rpms in every gear. You can even lock first gear out so you dont spray at all in first gear which is what I should have done but I didnt do it. If you have 2 step colder plugs and a bigger fuel pump the VQ will easily hold a 100shot. I have had nitrous for almost a year now and have been through plenty of bottles and its still doing ok I guess. Jim Edwards is the nitrous guru and if you wanna learn or see anything amazing talk to him or even watch his videos the guy def knows what he is doing. He's not on here though he is over on maxima.org and his user name is JIME. If you wanna look at that window switch dynotune makes it and its a window switch, tps and can control 2 stages of nitrous all in one little box. Its not expensive at all its about $120.. Dynotune Nitrous check it out.

Thanks man I appreciate it. The VQ35 can actually take more than a 100shot but if the car isnt prepared right then it def will not hold. 150shot is the threshold but I'm way to chicken to try it lol..

Thanks for the post man. No problem it has def been past due for me to post something up but I'm gonna go back to another track here in a few weeks and hopefully I will have a better outcome.

Thanks bro! The times are ok could be much better but I was happy after I saw that 113 trap that has 12's written all over it! So he has a supercharged 4th gen with a 3.5 in it? How much boost is he running and what supporting mods does he have? You might wanna watch out because depending on the mods and how much boost he is running it might be a beast and he also has the weight advantage so it will def be interesting. What shot are you gona run against him?

he had bolt on like i do. hes kinda secretive but he tells me more n more when we talk. hes a cool guy. i think he puttin down close to 425 whp or so. ut his trap speed is close to yours and he hasnt broke twelves due to traction. when i got nitrous i will do a 100 shot. not sure if ill do a two stage. i prolly will but i kno the utec has a tps and window setup built in. i dont think it has a two stage in it. most likely ill get a two stage.

Hey Sean, thanks for sharing...looks like you had fun. The one vid of you and the 4th gen was a slaughter.

Say, check your PM...there's one sitting in your inbox from long ago!
Let's get another Lake Lewisville meet together in October.

keep up the good work sean !!!

i would suggest setting the switch at 4000-6400 rpm because you will land around 4600-4700 rpm when you shift , there's no need to spray out of the hole unless you have slicks .

Good runs man,

You have a mid-12 second car with that trap speed. A little more practice and I think you will be deep into the 12's.
