nah, your 40-65 was too rapid for a VQ NA, even with a tune and bolt ons. you'd have to prove to me that wasnt with some spray for me to believe you. Either that, or you lost a lot of traction, and thats why your speedo was going so much faster. Doesnt mean the car was going that fast
40-65 = wheelspin. I power-shifted into second and got about 3-4 seconds worth of wheelspin. You can see the speedo drop a bit and lag around 60 when it finally catches.
I know the feeling. Same as the damn Torque steer.
I kept watching your vid, and the amount of accleration to 65 was just too fast. and then suddenly it went into a slower steady climb to 80-90, but seems to get a bit of slip inbetween shifts. Now, seeing that I used to run nitrous, it was the type of acceleration I saw on spray. But on my current car, its what the dash reads when I'm losing traction. Sometimes my dash says I'm doing 80mph, but I'm only doing 50-60 because I lose all traction, but the tires are spinning at 80mph
sorry guys.. i may have been confused about the video with 50 whp.. but anyway, here he is racing 2 other cars with the same HP.. skip to 3:30 for the races
Leathe just pulled off the famous 2nd gear spinup. If you do it right you won't lose much time. Happens to me alot when the weather is below 40.
That long 3rd gear on the 3rd gen's can really help beat out the competition however. Thats one of the downfalls of the 4th gen, more shifting. Shift = time loss. Especially with the stock clutch.
Thats awesome, it surely would give that Cobra a run for its money, only difference is 17lbs is lite for a Cobra and your sittin at 575rwhp with just that $3,000 s/c bone stock. Boltons and pulleys take you to around 630rwhp.
