I will let you know if I sell them.. I may go back to the track here in a few weeks, it may be the last outting for the 5spd auto but we will see how it holds up.. Yea I did some research and I will need quite a few things.. Might be better just to build this auto but we will see.
And I found out today that the Camaro I raced runs 12.80s at the track, dam that makes me mad haha..
+1 with TUKO. The NITTO 555Rs are great drag radials but once you start getting past the 350+FWTQ (yes, FRONT) they're useless. I had a friend with a Dart running 11s cutting 1.7 60's on my D/Rs. I can barely muster a 2.1.
Your transmission is fine. The "smart" thing would've been to not do any more damage to the clutch-packs and let it rest after the first run. It was over-heating. Now it's unknown just how much damage was done. A good idea is to get a transmission cooler w/ a fan. Install a temp-sensor and have it turn the fans on at a certain temperature range. Another option is to get a window switch and have the juice shut off before the transmission shifts.

I agree.. I'm probably gonna sell my Nittos and get some ET Streets.. The tranny fluid needs to be flushed, and I need to quit messin around and install my tranny cooler because I know that will help.. But I still plan on probably building this auto.. Get everything gone through, clutch-packs, valve bodies, and get a 3800 stall so I can load up and get out there.. I saw the perfect motivation today (550whp Grand Prix Auto) so I'm gonna call up the people he used to do his tranny.. And I do have a window switch, it still doesn't help..

Thanks.. Too bad my SE-R isn't a 6spd it looses ALOT to being an auto, I ran against a 6spd on the highway this past weekend in TX, and the 6spds pull HARD!!!
They have Auto's for that car that are no better or worse than the 6MT's in drag races. Actually the Autos launch better. some of the quickest LS1 cars you'll see are autos actually
