Intake & J-pipe = Intake & Y pipe.

Its not impossible to get good 60ft's with street tires. There is a 03 Maxima where I live that has Header/Y with the 3" cutout open header switch that does 13.5's on street tires.

I thought that Accord had Test pipes not a J-pipe. If he does have Test pipes than thats not the same, since those are eliminating the two precats after the headers. Still thats quite impressive! If we had timing on intake and exhaust valves + duration and lift. I'm sure the VQ could be even more powerfull than the JA35, too bad they only gave exhaust timing to the Maxima what a waste.

I plan on getting test pipes myself done in the Bronx Throw in some Dummy O2's and I'll be smooth sailing.

Good luck if you think throwing in some "dummy O2 sensors" will help any. You will have the same problems as the 05-06 guys.

What kind of crappy slicks are those people using? Cars that make double our power hook up nice.

Than on top of that, all of the crazy drag cars leave a nice rubber patch down the track for 100 feet which pretty much seals the deal when it comes with the best traction. Unless you don't use that to your advantage. Than again, you don't go to the track much.

The SES make the car go into limp mode or something? Or is it just a stupid light that annoys you eventhough you are making more power for the test pipes.

But isn't that problem related to the A/F sensors and NOT the 02 sensors? I am not changing the OEM headers, just the downpipes which have the precats in them. In any case I guess its time to do some research.

[EDIT] Aah, I see what you mean now Leathe. Oh well I did hear of some of the 05-06 guys getting around them somehow but I have to look it up.

It's the o2 sensors but sometimes even with sims people will still throw a code. It's the increase in flow that seems to be the culprit. But then again, increasing the flow is a good thing. Removing the pre-cats will cause an increase in flow, even with the stock manifolds in place. Since you're running wideband o2 sensors similar to the 05-06 I can only assume you will have the same problems.

Is this maxima teal with a small smurf like indian kid driving it? I know a maxima with a 3 inch cutout running stock muffler and according to him almost every bolt on.

Maybe it isn't because he ran a 13.4 on MT ET streets and he spun a little. According to jkg he must not know what he's doing.

Exactly...if there's 1000hp cars hooking on days that people are spinning, it's not the track or the tires, it's that the people that are spinning don't know what they are doing...they aren't lining up in the groove, aren't feathering the pedal right, aren't heating up the tires properly, don't have the proper air pressure in them, etc...

13.4 is a great time regardless for a N/A car. The more power you make, the harder it is to drive specially FWD.

What kind of 60 foot times did that guy pull. According to me, he doesn't know what he is doing? Okay there Tuko316.

LOL yeah thats him, he's fully bolted and has a tune and I ran him with his stock exhaust on. He launched better than I did and kept 1 car length on me for our entire run, I could not catch up to him but he couldn't outrun me either.

We call him Kumar at the car club here lol. I will get him again though since now I have the Y pipe on.
He has the VIAS plate, Headers/Y-pipe combo, 3" cutout, custom intake, and a tune (don't know what company but its not technosquare since his rev's don't go past the normal 6600.

Goddamn I wish I didn't have to come into work tomorrow I'd go to E-town, maybe if I get out early enough.
