se-r vs is350

Well i was on my way to work today and a IS was driving slightly aggressive..So going down the e-way there were a bunch of ppl driving really slow and i got around them(doing the speed limit) and than the highway was basically open for about 3 miles in front of me.

So i move over from the right lane to the far left lane and i see him flying up on my rear end. So i say what the heck why not. Well we were going about 80ish already so i snap it into 4th, and hes in my blindspot, four gear is coming to a end and i still cant really see him next to me nor way behind me.

And heres were it gets interesting, i never knew if i was a is 250 or a 350. I have a full tank of gas, put the subs and all that back into the car, and i had the AC on. lol So since i cant see him i kinda granny shifted into 5th...well thats all the edge he needed to be able to pass me. We shut it off at about 130ish with me just at his rear bumper. But he was still inching away.

I never see too many is350's so i kinda underestimated my opponent :-/

lol but the AC, radio full blast, full tank of gas and me not power shifting 5th gave him a free win. Stupid me. I really think we would have been dead even if i shifted faster.

Nice run. I've also raced a IS350 and put cars on him from a 70 mph role. I'm sure you raced a IS350, I don't think the IS250 could give you a run like that.

Well i know it was a 350 after he started to inch on me...So i felt better lol.

but typically when i race somebody if they havnt passed me by the end of 4th i stop racing...but once i realized he was still going for it, and i gave him a edge i was like ohhhhh fffuukkk.

fujita intake, intake blockplate.

I guess all of them are autos, so im sure my 3rd and 4th gear have a edge over his gearing, but yeah hes def making more power.

Im sure he was a lil surprise he wasnt blowing past me, i should have represented better :-p

My father owns one so I know how fast they are.

They are pretty good from a roll too, but they weigh around 3600+.

From a dig, they are monstrous. They hook amazing and you can have it pinned to the floor and it just throws you back.

If you race one from a dig, you will get raped. From a roll, you have a chance.

^True, the IS350 can do 5-sec to 60 with a good driver afaik. I never ran into an owner yet that was willing to play, so far I ran just boring IS250 awds and IS300s. I'd love to run an IS350 even from a dig, because of no turbo-lag on them and the fact that I refuse to launch, I'm sure I'd be playing catch-up.
Too bad they only come in automatic form (said the man that drives an autotragic himself).
I remember I was at a Lexus dealer test driving one and the guy goes "this thing will blow the doors off the new G37 V8". That made me raise my eyebrows and I tried not to chuckle ...

If you do race one from a dig and you have a driver like me, you won't catch up fast enough before it gets too dangerous . Some drivers stock are getting 4.8-4.9 0-60 MPH.

It's easy to launch the shit out of the car when at the end of the run you pass the keys to the owner and say "thanks for letting me take it for a spin"
I'm just a pussy I guess. Knowing that if the tranny breaks it will be an easy 5 grand definitely makes me keep my reins in check I ain't no slouch from a dig, but 300horses NA is 300 horses NA.

Let me put it this way, with enough road I'd beat any and all of you given the fact that my speed limiter is set to 500-some miles. Lulz.

306 BHP .

I guess eventually you would beat my Talon as well because I have topped it out at 165 MPH (Transmission is pretty close gearing).

I doubt I'd be able to safely go over 165 on stock suspension. How long would it take me to catch up? 3 minutes?
Mb23bca, the IS is definitely a hot car, inside and out.
