full bolton 95 2.4 auto vs. bone stock 09 auto 2.5s
not sure if anyones ever compared the first gen to the 09 but my girl owns one so i thought id give it a shot.my 1st gen altima has full bolt ons,a 75 wet shot and is auto with 20" wheels and hers is a 09 2.5s 2 door bone stock auto with stock wheels.we ran from a dig and even with the 20's and the slushbox the 2.5s couldnt keep up with me on the juice.i left her behind 2 1/2 - 3 car lengths.i was happy with the kill i wanted to run her on the motor for giggles but i had the timing retarded 3 degrees for the juice already so the 1st gen would of preformed poorly so i called it a night.soon as my act 4 puck clutch and short shifter get here the 5 speeds going in and itll be time to go get some timeslips.

lol naw i had the timing dailed back 3 degrees for the juice and it has no power off the bottle when the timing isnt set for natural aspiraton.the car is set up for the juice.
thats really hardly worth bragging about. ive killed MUCH faster cars on the juice by BIG car lengths. get rid of the 20's and run her again off the bottle.

So it has no power without the juice? haha, what you gotta spray that thing everytime you merge on the freeway? Fix the timing and give it a motor-motor race.

You know that the 09 Altima is MUCH heavier than your 1st gen and doesn't make a whole lot more power. Wasn't the KA24 rated at 150 BHP?? And the QR25DE is rated at 170 BHP.
Only crap thing about the Auto in the 1st gen is that it has some crazy tall gearing and was really mean't for fuel economy.

As I'm reading the OP i'm picturing a FUGLY altima. 20's on a first gen just doesnt make sense. and then on top of it, you have to use nitrous to beat a 4th gen 2.5 is sad. But with the fact that you have air rides that would probably explain why you need the nitrous just to get moving. 20s + air rides = more weight than that car needs.
