SR20DET swap to '62 Sunbeam Alpine
I have a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine, stock is low on power (85hp) and that is at sea-level, I live at 5500'.I would like to swap to an SR20DET & 5-speed.
To see if this is possible I need the length of thr Nissan 5-spped from the front of the bellhousing (back of engine) to the center of the shifter.
The original engine is an iron-block 1600cc, 4-speed so the power transformation should be quite noticable. Linked with a Ford 8.8" LSD rear and 11.5" 4-wheel disc brakes should haul it down properly too.
