sr20det front clip questions.

i have a question about a front clip of the sr20 s13 red top.
im planning on getting an sr20 for the 240sx 89-91 but im on a tight budget

i was thinking on getting this clip, saw some opinions and said it was a good dealer.
Nissan S13 red top front clip
the seller is close enough for me to go and check out the clip for myself even though being a newb might not help :P.

then

i took a look at the heavythrottle engine packages they had
and i noticed they said you had to get a few extra pieces:
Quote:

Additional Items (not included) needed to complete the install:

- 3" SR Downpipe with gaskets
- Electric Fan with Thermostat / Relay
- Intake filter kit with MAF adapter
- SMIC or FMIC with piping
- Slim Mazda Miata Battery or Trunk Battery Kit for FMIC
- Hot IC Pipe w/ BOV flange
- BOV or Recirculation Valve
they were selling this kit with the engines they had. iono if they were clips or just the engine. do i need these to complete the swap with a front clip?

question is do i need these "additional items" to do a swap with the clip? if i do which ones? all of them?

thanks in advance. sorry for being such a noob.

All they are saying in the list of things you need is that you have no plumbing for the turbo.
No exhaust so without the downpipe you will shoot hot exhaust straight into the fire wall.
No intercooler or plumbing to get the compressed air to the intake.
No fan to pull cool air through radiator.
No Blow off Valve to release pressure when throttle is released
Hot IC pipe w/ BOV flange is a section of pipe between tubo and intercooler where blow off valve is mounted
Battery, Do whatever you want with that. Any battery will work, just preferably a nice one.

Here is some help with the acronyms.
SR, obviously indicates the motor
MAF, Mass air flow
SMIC/FMIC, Side mount intercooler/ Front mount intercooler
IC, intercooler
BOV, Blow off valve

being that this is a "heavythrottle package" This stuff would be HIGHLY recomended

So in other words, yes, you will need this stuff unless you plan on completely F******* up your motor. Do some more research on turbo motors and IC piping and other stuff like that. The Web holds much information especially on the SR swap for 240sx'.

Cool thanks for your help.

edit: do you think its cheaper to buy an intercooler piping from ebay? or fabricate my own piping?
since its metal so it should be fine right?
note: its just temp till i can get some name brand stuff.
