It should fit, it's just going to be a tight fit. Will most likely have to use a shroud like the E46-R, but I kinda want to use the Panamera shrouds. Just because they look funky.

It's funny, as i scan some of the forums and see people talking about retrofits, and 99% of the time i see posts that you can't bake open permaseal lights, that you have to cut them open. The 4th gens are all permaseal, and we've all been able to open them.

Funny how false info always gets disseminated and people just run with it without doing their homework!

I was originally gonna use the E46-R but it hit the housing lens so I ended up with the Iris. My fogs were permaseal and a pain in the ass to open but I got them.

Yup, Google is your friend. That's how I've learned everything I know about this car, retrofits, and now my LED project. By asking questions and doing the research.

And I talked to Bill last night about the flashing issue. He seems to think it has something to do with the splitter harnesses since that's the only thing that's changed from my MH1/Blazer setup to this FX-R/Matchbox one.

But he was gonna take a look at the wiring diagrams for the 2g and see if he could figure something else out just in case. Now I'm just waiting to hear back from him.

My fxr showed up today. I decided to make my mounting template since my customer parts didn't arrive yet.

I have a spare junk light to use for testing in my storage unit, so I'll play with the fitment this weekend while I wait for the other shipments to show up.

When I picked up the box, the first thing I noticed was how heavy it is. So it made me realize i'm going to need to to make sure my brackets are really strong. I got the 3" clear lens setup, and it is a massive projector. The projector should fit just fine, just gotta find the right shroud to go on it that will look clean and not have to be chopped to all hell to make it fit.

I have a set of MH1s coming this Saturday as well. I'll take some pics for you to look at and compare the lights.

Yea, the FX-R is a solid projector. My current quad setup is so much heavier than my MH1/Blazer one. I didn't realize you could fit a 3" projector in the 4/4.5g housings though, interesting. Once you get the FX-R mounted in and mocked up you should have an easier time with shroud choice.

i have 3 other shrouds at home already. I have gatling 2.0, Iris, and E46 Extended. We shall see what fits best. Gonna go to Home depot after work to check out some small steel brackets that I'll need to modify a bit to make it fit

Mmmm, if I could do mine over again I'd have made brackets to make use of the OE adjustment system.

I Used L Brackets with the TSX projectors, and I think this one will need stronger ones
