From what I know, you have to cut them apart. I bought a spare set here last semester so I could do it, I have so many projects going on it isn't funny.

okay quick update:so I cleaned off the excess sealant off the base and lens of the light.See the black ball next to it that's all the sealant. as soon as I aim these babies they'll be ready to go back together.

BTW just some of things you need to have handy for this kind of project

Here's the latest update: tooslow recommended I order some covers for my LEDs. Now originally I was looking for acrylic rings.Instead I was playing around on a website and ran into these 70mm LED Car Angel Eyes Light Protect Cover - Tmart.com

Here is a pic of what one looks like

Now my plan is to smoke these out with tint spray.I'm going to test one and see how it comes out.If I'm satisfied then it's poker I'm all in

That is perfect! Before you spray it, test the fitment to make sure it can cover it cleanly

Nice find man! I may now consider halos! In Indiana it gets very cold, so ccfl's are not a good choice. But LEDs operate in cold weather very well!!

Yeah, but now this company pissed me off. They sent me an email saying the ny and hongkong warehouses are out of stock on this product and it takes 2 weeks to replenish it. I'm not waiting that long
I'm going to see if I find another company with it!

So decided to go the ebay route BTW this seller is in Brooklyn:says it takes 2-5 days to come.So you figure sometime next week. I will have the lights aimed this weekend, then as soon as I receive these I will paint, install them and put my headlights back together. So the project should be completed by next weekend. Here are some pics of my most recent order!

Looks good. But from the picture, that would be ~75mm in Outside Diameter. I don't know if that would really matter sense I have not seen your set up. But figured I would point that out...
