I'm referring to the OP. I assume he has OE HID's. And he doesn't want to invest into OE Philips bulbs. That's fine. If the kit he gets prematurely fails, he should know better next time. If it works out, more power to him.

They are $100/per for a reason.

Im definitely a true believer in that saying, when applied properly. But honestly, i see no reason why a bulb ... a piece of glass that illuminates ..... should be $100. If these bulbs do sh*t the bed quick then investing in a good set of bulbs is something i will be doing, but i feel that they will last me

well i had a failed attempt at replacing the bulbs today. Got the driver side one in seeing how its the easier of the two, then got to the passenger side one and couldnt even get past the dust cap. now i see why ive seen so many people on here say they broke theirs. Im not taking the chance of breaking mine so i left it alone for now and next day i dont work im going to take the bumper off and replace it that way. It sucks cause thats the one that went out so now im stuck another week with only one headlight lol

Good luck with that. Most dealers will not because you are technically bringing an outside part in.

so instead of waiting to go to the dealership saturday i went to the Monro shop i usually go to and was gonna have them switch it out for me. They get my car in and i walk in the garage and start helping him and we get it done pretty quick. I go to pay the labor or whatever and he tells me to throw the dude a 20 and call it even, i go to give the mechanic the 20 and he said he wasnt worried about. Moral is i got help changing it out for free lol

What's even nicer with that is you have now seen and done it. The next time will be much easier ... that education alone was worth the $20.

Use KEROSENE Siphon Pump for small tank liquid removal

Answer for "andrewcu" (First post on this thread)

For removal of fluids from containers such as Coolant overflow tank, Windshield Washer tank, even Power Steering etc --- And toilet tanks.

Get a Plastic KEROSENE siphon pump available at one of the big box, hardware or Dept. stores for about $3 for a hand "squeeze" model. Battery operated ones cost about $15 but are not really needed -- and the bottom of suction tube on those is usually larger which will limit where it can be used. This little siphon pump is also handy to remove the last bit of water from a toilet tank when replacing tank parts. When finished use just pump clean water through it, hang it up and allow it to dry out.

Google KEROSENE Siphon Pump. This is the cheapest and most practical type siphon pump for removal of liquids from small containers.
