i am getting some dual retrofits made i was going to do it so that they are all on when the low beams are on than the shield moves when the high beams are on but i am having second thoughts about it now and might just go with just the low beams being the only ones on. anyone have any opinions on it?

If you're going to make/have someone make a quad setup for you then you want 2 pairs of complimenting projectors. For example an AP1 (S2000) has a very wide pattern but very little throw. So you would want to pair it with a projector like an E-55/EVO-X-R that has very long throw and a very good high beam but a relatively narrow pattern.
I would never run 4 of the same projector though. All you'd be doing is magnifying the strengths and the weaknesses which in most cases would mean an overblown foreground and a not very wide pattern.
You also need to consider the legality of a quad setup. Most states have laws prohibiting more than 4 lights on at a time. So unless the secondary pair were on a switch you'd be unable to legally run your fog/driving lights.
^^ what he said. Also quad projectors are overkill most people do them for looks. That is why I did mine. Dual projectors are more than enough to light up the road. The money you spend for a quad could go towards something else. However, its your choice at the end of the day. Also if your going to run quads its best to have all 4 on low with the option to switch two to high because HIDs take awhile to warm up! GL with your decision!
imo, i havent seen too many 3rd gen retro's that i was crazy over. i think it's has to do something with the fit and finish of how a retro looks on the 3rd gen, but that just me. i have the H1 minis, and i freakin think they are awesome! the Gatling gun 2.0 is one of the bigger shrouds that was made to fit proper on the H1 mini.
Great lighting! The H1 minis are all u really need! plus it makes it cheaper for u on supplies, and cost of labor if u pay someone.
Thats your best and easier choice. Thats as plug and play as itgets.Anything else will require alot of modification, time and work! The MH1s are great and give a nice spread of light!

Yea. There are much better projectors out there. But for the ease of install vs output it really can't be beat. When you get them if you don't like the foreground limiter you can always buy the older design which did not have the foreground limiter.
sweet thanks a lot guys im going to go with them than and post up some pics when theya re done
No problem.
Are you willing to divulge any details on the build? Painted shields or original? Shroud choice? LED/CCFL ring or no? Leaving the shroud chrome or painting it? Leaving the housing chrome or blacking out the housing? Leaving the reflector bowl chrome or blacking out that also?
im having shawn make them. we decided to go with led ring and im going to black out the housing. as far as the other stuff i havent decided on it yet what do you suggest?

That all depends on what look you're going for. I personally love blacked housings/reflectors with color matched shrouds. But that's just me. Take a look over on HIDP and see what you like and don't like.
If you want a demon eye look but want to keep it legal you can paint the shield red, or have Shawn fab a piece of metal that sits between the lens and lens holder and would reflect the color onto the lens. So it would appear whatever color you painted it while still staying legal since it's not a light source. Or you could have him paint the shield black and wetsand the top of the shield to enhance the sharpness of the cutoff.
This is all assuming Shawn would be willing to do this.
And you didn't answer my question about shroud choice.
o sorry im doing mini gatiling gun shrouds! i think we prob will just black out everything i did think about having white shrouds but wondered how it would look or if it would look tacky. im trying to go with the clean look

Nice, nothing wrong with a full blackout. Did you purchase the xB bulbs or the regular Morimoto's?
