I bought, two weeks ago, a 2013 Maxima S. I had to replace both headlight assemblies because the internal workings of the low beam projectors had failed causing dim (right side) and essentially out, (left side) (The bulbs appear to be good) The projectors had H11 filament bulbs that appear to be good, the high beams had a 9005 Halogen bulb. The 9005 Halogen bulb, I am quite familiar with. The H11 bulb, not so much.
New H11 bulbs appear to be much more expensive than the common 9005 bulbs. Why is that? And are there replacement bulbs available for the H11 bulbs that will increase light output without breaking my rather fragile bank.
Finally, Why would the projectors fail like they did after three years & 37,000 miles? The car has never been hit, has no body damage & is a Florida car
