Haha, I'm not a pencil pusher. We control who comes on and off base here. It's not too bad. My actual MOS (military occupational specialty) is Military Police (hence the MP in my username). Our unit is a provisional security force, so everyone is kind of MP's, but without the authority pretty much. It really sucks not having the real authority because the Navy does that here. Oh well, we still get to have some fun with people.

Cool. I was wondering if you were part of the "tough guy" crowd or the dude that makes the schedule...
I got jacked up by Air Force MPs once. I had a job running new electrical cables underground at Ellsworth AFB and was working in the flightline area. Our escort left while we were in the manhole and when we came out, the MPs were waiting for us...They were a bunch of mean mofos...But I understand why. So when my boss found out (he was the owner) he came down and got into the MPs face. I thought the MP was gonna cry! I guess Rick didn't care if he got shot or not...He had a contract to finish! Good times with the M16!
Oh yeah, tough guy, that's me haha. Not really. I'm not a push over either, but I'm not the, "Hey, look at me, I'm a Marine." cocky type. I hate drawing attention like that. I have to generalize here, and I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but I can't stand the Army, or as we call them, Hoo-Ah's. It bugs the hell outta me when I go to Target or Cub or anywhere out in town and see one of them in their uniform. Just screams, "Look at me people. I'm cool because I'm in the Army". Sorry, got a little off topic there. Anywho, I'm counting down the days til I get to drive Hailey again (that's another story I'll tell later).
Dankz, you should post some pics of the cars for us...
been busy with work cant even touch the car ... its been awhile since i rode her haha!!! but when i get the chance i will take some pics and post it seeing as im on my phone... ill post in this thread sometime
Well, I'm bored over here, so I figured I'd clue the rest of you in as to why my car is named Hailey. Maybe this will help:
This is from a hail storm in Northfield, where I work, in August of '06. Softball sized hail. It was one of those things you see on TV and think wow, that sucks. Sounds cliche, but I never thought this could happen to me. It did $9,500 in damage to my car, and insurance paid for it to get fixed. Took about a month. During that time I had to drive a Hyundai Elantra. That sucked. It looked really good though when it was fixed. Only thing is, one year and two days later, another hail storm came through when I was at work again. That storm did about $1,800 worth of damage. I took the money from that and never got it fixed. It's noticeable to me, but not too bad. So, that my friends, is how my car got the name Hailey.
haha. right. i don't think that would've "buffed right out" as they say. that would've been really nice though. so, give me some ideas for when i get home guys.....i'm gonna get springs/struts for sure. thinking about side sills too. any other ideas?

You getting off of active duty or are you on a reserve rotation over there? I look forward to doing springs too. Would do now but I gotta save some money for other bills. Probably just gonna do it in the spring.
Here was my previous car, '96 Maxima I sold this spring before getting my altima.

I'm on a reserve rotation over here. Can't wait to get back stateside. This country is pretty nasty. I can't wait to breathe some nice, fresh, American air. That Maxi looks nice man. Nice and clean. Why'd you get rid of it? Here's a couple of the newest pics I have, took them in Stillwater when I was home on leave in August:
Well, it was a good car and I had it for 9 years. It was just at a stage where it was kind of beat up, (lowered with a fiberglass body kit in MN, not a good idea). But, it ran fine so I sold it while I could still get some decent money for it. I knew I would get either a G35, 02-03 Max, yet I ended up with an Altima. I test drove them all but really liked the Altima best. G35 looks great but I was a bit cramped inside it, and the ones I was testing with 70k miles on them rode kinda of harsh. The Maxima 6speeds I drove were real nice, and I was about to buy one before I found and decided to test an Altima. Much more comfortable ride than the solid rear in the Maxima, which you hear and feel go 'ka-plunk' over every expansion joint as it kind of hops around. I liked the sleeper aspect of the Altima, and it was definitely the roomiest and gave me the warmest feeling on the inside, and I love the 5 speed gear ratios.
