2002 SE, owned for about 3 weeks now. traded in a 96 Cherokee for it. So far I am finding the money I saved in haggling with the dealer is going to end up being spent on parts. bought new plugs for it (did the front 3, going to attempt the back 3 tomorrow), A/c recharge kit, MAF from John's Auto, and what I am assuming is going to be a fuel pump. oh well, the gas mileage makes up for it. so far i have been happy with the purchase.
How did the back 3 go? Or are you still working on it?

didn't even touch em this past weekend, didn't look like i was going to have time to putz around, so it is on the back burner for now. My bigger concern is the hard starting. After reading the sweet write up in the 02-06 performance page on how to do the fuel pump, I am thinking this is the cause of my initial starting issues. Soooo, time to see if my father in law, or a buddy (hell maybe Autozone/Oreilly) has a fuel pressure gauge and I can check it out to see if it is not holding pressure. But being a full time student and working full time does not allow for much putzing around time, and when I do get to putz, it is usually a wifey mandated chore lol.
How about battery? When I replaced my battery, it was like a new car!
Okay, who's down for Wednesday at Calhoun? I'll be down by the volleyball area dusting the car after work. I gots a frisbee in my trunk.
Battery is checking out fine, puts out a constant 14.6-13.9 volts. i figure with 132,xxx on it, prolly is in need of a new filter (such a stupid design filter in the pump). Might as well dig in under the back seat and put a new one in there.
hey guys. havent been in here for a while. thought i would check things out. would any of you guys be interested in swaping my Greddy Sp2 for your stock 3.5 exhaust plus a certain amount of money. i would help with the install.

You know...It could still put out constant voltage, but if you're amperage capacity's dropped, that would definitely affect starting. Plus, those new plugs would be in heaven!
yea, i heard about that. did u install it yourself?
yeah. it took a really long time. things were rusty, broke an 02 sensor and 02 sensor socket. it took almost 12 hours. haha

yeah i know, but i figure this can't hurt to do as well. it is tricky ya know, there is no definite answer about what is causing the hard starting so ya gotta hammer away at it some where. I am going to get at it on Friday afternoon after work, I'll take pics once I get it all out and what not.
Oh yeah, when i got the car, the fuel door seems to be jacked up. is there a spring that holds it closed (lol, never owned a car with locking door) the cable is good and it looks like there are two tabs that would support some sort of spring. if so, is it something I can get over at Autozone or is it dealer specific?
Yeah, it's a lot of hit n miss sometimes. I've never really paid attention to my filler door. I'll take a peek, but I don't think it's something a parts store would carry...I could be wrong. I'm thinking John's Auto to avoid having to buy the entire fuel delivery system for a spring.
Frisbee was good. It was sunny and busy. Raced Ku on the way home. We're pretty even, but he starts pulling away in the top end. And now he has the VIAS plate on so that car's even quicker!
Mayhem, is the exhaust still on your car? I'd like to hear it if it is...
yeah. its' still on. do you still have a stock exhaust
so you are changing spark plugs on your car huh. fun isnt it. i did mine about 2 months ago. such engineering prowess executed by nissan haha. took about 2 hours.
