Getting Tint in Ohio

I have some questions for you Ohio guys with tint.

#1 - Where are some good places to get it done? I'm looking for really good quality, not any of that crap that turns purple or peels due to a bad install. Also, what price range would I be looking at?

Ok, so I know the law says
1) none on the windshield below the AS1 (5")
2) 50% front windows
3) no % restriction on rear windows, no reflective (I'm just getting standard black anyway)

#2 - I want to stick with the same % all around (for a cleaner look), what should I go with? My car won't be looking ricey so I shouldn't be grabbing the cop's attention for anything so I may be able to get away with a little darker than the law. So I'm thinking I can get 35% or maybe even 30% all around? I see some cars around the area and they seem awfully dark.

I don't want trouble with the cops but I don't think 50% is really worth getting tint.

#3 - How do installers deal with installing tint that may be "illegal"

What do you suggest?

If you ever get pulled over they will most likely test your tint, regardless. I'd go with 50 in the front to avoid a ticket and having to get it all removed and re-done. Eventually, everybody with the illegal tint gets a ticket for it here in MN, only 50 here too.

You're over in Dublin so I don't know how far you want to drive for a quality tint job, but there is a place here in Newark that does damn good work. They have tinted my dad's Tacoma and his 99 Vette. The name is Backyard Custom Car & Billiards, phone # is (740)-349-8632. The owners name is Shane.

As far as "illegal" tint, most shops will ask you to sign a waiver relieving them of the liability if you are pulled over for being too dark.

Thanks, I'll give them a call.
