thanks Markspecv

I was considering a header for performance reason for the past couple of years but never got around to it till i was researching the pre cat issues on the qr25.

Man getting a header is the safe thing to do even if the dealer says your car is fine!

Especially at the prices that you are offering the xs unit for.

Is there an available dyno sheet (just curious).

And another question, does anyone really know how many (percentage wise) of the cats went bad and contaminated and destroyed motors.

My dealer was full of s@@@ deluxe when I asked him. Said that he thinks he has heard of only 2 cars that had problems! I am seeing sorrys all over the net though.

Anyone that could shed some light on this precat issue it would be much appreciated. I and getting mine off the car is favour of the header but I was wondering what real world experiences you guys have heard of.

Thanks again for the great price on the header. I will update after I recieve and install the piece.

Thanks xhondaguy for payment!

Yeah dealer is full of it! The pre-cat on the QR25DE has destroyed tons of engines, there have been recalls, and tons have gotten new engines !!!

Pre-cat =

Thanks, MarkSpecV! That definitely sounds like a good deal. I have few questions, though:
1) What is the header's brand?
2) What I heard about the headers is that since they don't have cats, the second o2 sensor needs to be rerouted to the back of the second cat in order to prevent SES light. What's the purpose of o2 spacer? Is that the one that prevents o2 sensor from sending bad code? Could you give me a hint how that 'd work?
Thanks!

P.S. I don't have a pypal yet. Plan to open one soon. My email is mitya_y@hotmail.com

Do we need to purchase two (o2) sensors to prevent the SES pop?
Edit: search ftw found this
Ok here is some info. to help:

The SS Header I offer has 2 o2 bungs

Hotshot and others only have 1

Therefore w/ others you will need to extend wires and weld in a new o2 bung after main cat ( mid-car) to get by SES light.

My header has both right on header so just plug them both in w/ an o2 sim. and your good to go.

Stock there is o2---pre-cat---02-------main cat

I have heard HORRIBLE reviews of the Nismo w/ cat. header. A few had cat problems on the SE-R/SpecV boards and the Price is like $500+ !!!! Main thing is to Eliminate pre-cat to open the flow = more hp/tq. Also w/ all the pre-cat failure issues even stock...

Hotshot is a great product and known to make the most hp/tq out!

Hope this helps some for ya'
