World Parts Express AKA BPANissan (Forum Sponsor!)

For those who are considering buying from World Parts Express, AKA BPANissan:

Last Friday @ 9am I asked for prices on Left/right side sills (polished pewter)
and Rear mudguards (polished pewter), with shipping. I asked if they ship with FedEx because UPS in my area is worse than horrible. They've lost a few high dollar packages before, and the refund process is not something I am going to go through again (or so I thought at the time), so I order through FedEx, DHL, or USPS. He replied:

"I can ship out fedex. Just remember to put in your comment that you want it delivered FEDEX. Thanks."

I ordered on Tuesday morning, with this in the notes box:

"Please ship FedEx. Approved OK per BPANissan on nissanclub.com. Thanks!"

I just got my shipment email with a UPS tracking number. 1 of 2 things is happening here:

1. The person posting here as 'BPANissan' has no absolutely no authority to OK FedEx shipping, and my notes in the order form meant nothing
2. He/she does, and the warehouse paid no attention to it.

Either way, the end result is the same for me. I can't afford delays like this, I have everything from different vendors set to arrive for a scheduled install, and big mistakes like this lead to the delays I go out of my way to avoid. I now have to reorder the parts elsewhere, and my money is tied up for a month. I've been down this road before. It generally takes about a month for the package to find it's way back, get processed, and have the refund posted to my account. That's a delay I only deal with once from any company.

BTW, the price I was quoted for the mudguard was $35.99 (making cost $29.99). When I got to the site, the price was actually $39.65, so I paid 10% ABOVE the advertised "20% over cost"- Do the math, that's 33% over cost. Are we holding forum sponsors to their word when they advertise things like this? The side sills were a few bucks more than other places I found, but they told me they could ship FedEx, and I wanted to support a forum sponsor. That won't be a factor again.

I'm just posting this as a heads up to all the members here. If you buy from BPANissan/World Parts Express, you're taking a risk.

-Forum Sponsor World Parts Express (AKA BPANissan) advertises 20% over cost, then charges 33% over cost. That's only half my experience, too.

Altimas.net admin is ok with their behavior, so I'm out. I won't support any business that treats their customers like this, or any website that accepts their money.

Don't get your panties in a bunch here. I get so many orders a day, and have a whole dept devoted just to shipping. Mistakes are made sometimes. The shipper overlooked the shipping with Fedex comment. If you really think my prices are not 20% over cost, then try to go and buy at your local Nissan dealer. Then you will see what retail pricing is. You did not need to come on the site and spout out things. We could have just handle this in a adult matter. I am pretty sure there is enough happy customers on this site to contest this claim.

Thanks to google cache, your words will live forever. Everyone visiting this site can see how you treat your customers.

You're not even disputing the price differences, you're just comparing them to retail. Retail is retail, you advertised 20% over cost, and anything over that is false advertising. Some would say fraud.

"Don't get your panties in a bunch here."

I'm reporting this situation to the mods, and if you remain a forum sponsor, I'm gone. All I did was state the facts. You, a forum sponsor, chose to take it to the level you did. I refuse to support a site that accepts money from anyone who treats customers the way you are.

Pricing is automatically set at 20% over Nissan cost. So if Nissan of America rasies the cost on me, the prices also reflect that. If the pricing is different and you wanted that quoted price, what is so hard about asking and saying that I quote you a different price. I would have given you the quoted price.
