Hi,
I went to get a warranty repair for 2009 Altima 4-door 2.5 at a local dealership and they also provided about $3000 worth of repair recommendations(scummy dealership in Brooklyn).
They also wanted $150 to reset the TPMS sensor. Is there any tool that can reset the TPMS sensor? It was flickering for a while and I'm not sure if it just needs to be reset or one of the TPMS sensors is damaged.
I think it just needs to be reset because the list of repairs were very detailed whereas the report on the TPMS just indicated it needed to be reset.
I have looked at different tools such as ATEQ QuickSet TPMS Reset Tool and not sure if that will work in resetting the TPMS.
Does the TPMS light stay on even if the sensor is not damaged? Is there a way to find out if it is just stuck or actually damaged? Dealer did not indicate damage on the report.
Thanks.
