Oxygen Sensor

I need help with oxygen sensors.

I have a 2005 Altima with a VQ35DE

I had a noizy leak in my exhaust, upon further inspection it turns out the oxygen sensor bushing broke off. This is on the rear exhaust section, right below the right catalytic converter.

The oxygen sensor is damaged, I need to replace it.

If I'm not mistaken this is called a heated O2 sensor

I have 2 extra sensors but they are the ones before the catalytic converters the ones that are threaded in the exhaust manifold front and back.

Are they the same, can I use a "before cat" instead of an "after cat" O2 ? Are the plugs the same ? I don't mind splicing the connector if the sensors are the same.
