I think it's close to spanish because it might have been a spanish colony or something.

Let me make some thing clear. The Philippines was not 'discovered' by Magellan. There were people already living in the Philippines at the time and trade was already ongoing with China, Japan, Malaysia etc. (as evidenced by the artifacts such as Chinese urns).

OK OK, Magellan did discover for the Philippines for Spain (from their point of view). Upon which he immediately wanted to claim it. Which was the 'Euro' thing to do at the time. His subsequent death at the hands of Lapu-lapu does nothing to stop the next 300 years of Spanish subjugation. (Hey this is history, I have no ill feelings against Spain today)

Magellan's most important accomplishment was the first real circumnavigation of the world. That's right! He proved that the world was round. Which is those days was a real philosophical leap.

HYPERPARTS>> Hey I was in the philippines this past summer and when I was out one day, my mom said that a 1st gen burgundy altima fixed up came to the house. The driver dropped off my aunt. But my mom said that it looked similar to mine, (kit and rims). Then again this is my mom, and I wasn't there to actually see the car. So I was wondering if she was right. Just curios...... if you've seen it or maybe know them....thanks!
