After the show and group picture we headed to Deals Gap for lunch. Its literally a motorcycle resort at the tail end of the Dragon and finding a parking spot for a car by yourself is difficult enough..

The infamous tree of shame..

After lunch I lead a group for the rest of the day driving. We drove on the most amazing/intense road I've ever driven and I'm not telling any of you the name of it but if you come next year you can follow me haha. We started out by stopping by the dam where they filmed The Fugitive..

Whitewater rafting/kayaking is huge in the area thanks to dam releases like this..

There are no pictures of the driving because all there is is hanging on for the passenger. A cop ran us down and pulled into a gas station behind us. Thought for sure he was going to give us a hard time (especially after seeing how he pulled in and walked over to us) but he ended up being really cool and he just wanted to check out the cars. We went to the Harrah's on the Cherokee Reservation and I'm still kicking myself for not taking any pics. Its a really impressive casino/resort with at least a 3 story waterfall coming out of the ceiling in the middle of it. Even when we weren't driving were having a blast. Our dinner destination was swamped with yakkers thanks to a huge event going on later that week but we ended up with a table all by ourselves overlooking the river while we drank foreign beers and shot the shit about the day..

After dinner we had a good time doing a night run on 28 and shortly after we got back to the resort and were hanging out under the pavilion again the skies opened up. The only thing left was the long drive home cursing my brother the following morning. I hope everyone enjoyed the synopsis of the event. Pictures (and hopefully videos soon) really don't do it justice and I hope to meet some of you there next year.

Now the random pics. Don't hitchhike in Virginia, don't even think about it..

My brother bought new riding pants for the trip. Met a chick at the store and flirted with her. Distracted her from doing her job..

Sore neck? back? ass?

We did see a super sweet GTR in Knoxville..

Well its a new year and the dates for NICOfest at the Dragon 2013 have already been set. This year it will be Labor Day weekend (Aug 30 - Sep 2) again so make plans if you intend on going. In the meanwhile I figured I'd post some of the Killboy pics of my brother and I from last year.

Thanks guys.

Aaron we'll be staying at Fontana Village Resort. Your Great Smoky Mountain Destination. Fontana Dam, NC again this year. They have so much to offer so its the perfect place for us. The last I knew NICO was waiting on the contract but Fontana already has us listed on their group event calender. Either way the group rates should be announced soon as well as the other information regarding making reservations.

Will do. I got together with two of the organizers in Louisville and we talked about possibly doing things differently this year. Well, that and a really funny story about somebody throwing a phone book at Papa John (yes the pizza guy, apparently he's from Louisville and an asshole) on his bike from a moving car. I'll be pushing for plenty of driving as usual but however it works out I'm looking forward to a great time.

Hotel information has been posted but I'm waiting for the rest of it before I start the new thread for this year.

I learned a couple weekends ago that I'm not going to be able to make it this year which truly sucks. One of my best friends from college has managed to pick weekends out of the blue that bone my plans. Hes doing his bachelor party Labor Day weekend and his wedding will be the same weekend as F1 COTA. So random its almost intentional haha. Regardless I will still be starting the new thread when the plans are posted.

Since the event information is taking longer than it should to be released again this year I will share the resort information link with you guys. Just a reminder but this is a cheap weekend with your only real expense coming from gas and even that's not bad since most Nissans I know sip gas once you get them on the highway for extended periods of time.
