Recommended Local Shops & Resources

I don't think anyone's compiled a proper list for places recommended by the mid-Atlantic folks here, so I figured I'd start one. Most people go to the big-name franchises, but typically they are horrendously overpriced, not particularly qualified, and don't understand/refuse to serve enthusiasts and tuners.

Thus, it's often a much better idea to go to the smaller, often family-run shops, who charge less and typically specialize in certain areas of much use to mainstreamers and enthusiasts alike.

Shops

General maintenance/service:
VA - Sterling: Adam Auto Works
VA - Chantilly: Casey's Automotive
VA - Chantilly, Manassas: G&C Automotive
VA - Chantilly: Whitey's Automotive

Exhaust/Welding:
VA - Chantilly: Whitey's Automotive
MD - Hyattsville: Oscar Auto Muffler
VA - Northern Virginia (on-site/mobile): DC Mobile Exhaust

Tires/Suspension:
VA - Chantilly, Manassas: G&C Automotive
VA - Alexandria: Bingo Tires
VA - Sterling: Exotic Speed

Specific Enthusiast Jobs:

Fender Rolling/Pulling:
VA - Alexandria: RolledByP
MD - Accokeek: Divani-Kingston Motorsports

Interior LED Modification/Installation:
VA - Sterling: Exotic Speed (ask for Ricky)
VA - Springfield: NVA Lighting

HID/Xenon Conversion/Installation:
VA - Springfield: NVA Lighting
MD - Hyattsville: Bruno's Installation

Car Audio/Electronics Installation:
VA - Woodbridge: Ed Medina

---------------------------------------
I will add places to this list as people suggest them. Let us know if you have any recommendations!
