Is there a way to not have this gap? Not really crazy about gluing it, maybe need some tightening?

Yeah. I found out all aftermarket parts, will have the gap for the third brake light. I got clear silicone, but there wasn't any need for it, since the third brake light I got was sealed all ways, so I water damage can possibly occur.

As with above, the aftermarket parts come with a gap so don't think any amount of tightening will work. Try and come up with a makeshift solution! Get creative

Once I've also the same mistake in my car. First, I was trying it on my own but then I see it's not working good. I decided to go to GT Auto workshop and they fixed it.
