I'm kind of surprised that my car made it, but it couldn't have come at a better time because August 11TH is my birthday.

I'll get some updated pics and a list of things Iv'e done to the car so far ASAP.

Good luck everyone!!!

Don't call your car a Special Edition and I won't call mine an SE.

My car is a Special Edition, and I have all the factory options and the badge on the trunk to prove it.

the 5.7 Gen Maxima

This car is the very first of its kind. I took a 2002 Maxima (5.5Gen) and swapped in a 2009 Maxima (7th gen)VQ35 into the car which is now called the 5.7 Gen Maxima.

Its not a ordinary swap, the 09 VQ has VQ35HR heads and various improvements over the older FWD VQ's.

My good friend purchased a 09 Maxima a few years ago, the first thing I did was look under the hood. I said that's the motor Ill swap one day! In August 2010 my car developed a rod knock. So I parked it and started the planning of the swap. In May 2011 I had the 09 VQ and was in the process of swapping. It was not untill the end of July 2011 till it actually ran.

First run/drive

Glad I made it this month! Today is my exact 3yr anniversary with my coupe as well.

Mods;

Suspension;
Racing Line Strut bar
Racing Line rear sway bar
Racing Line front and rear endlinks
Racing Line traction bar kit
Racing Line short throw shifter
Racing Line lowering springs

Wheels;
Currently stock but hope to finish my new ones

Tires;
BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 (225/55R16)

Engine;
Stock
Runs on Amsoil synthetic
Had intake on but removed it

Other;
WC Lathe Werks custom weighted shift knob
Hyper-White interior lights
Custom illuminated kick plates
Nismo Headrests

A little about my car. 2009 2.5 coupe 6spd, most of what I have done is to make it handle and drive so its largely suspension. I have a lot of projects that I have been pursuing but had to put off, but plan to try and finish two this month. Everything that has been done is done by myself as well. I am anal about keeping my car clean as well, I spend more time then anything else detailing her and last year I spent about 22hrs doing a detail lol! I was known as having the cleanest car on campus at college as well which I am proud of . I dont have a ton of mods, but I hope people vote for my coupe for how clean she looks!

I currently hold the stock 1/4 mile record for a 2.5 at 15.598 at 88.3mph as well on stock tires!

Pictures:

In progress projector retrofit;

Video of last year at the strip:

Back to back runs from earlier this spring, on snow tires.

Best of luck to everyone!!!

@ser06

Thanks for the vote.

I'll have updated pics and a list of things done to the car so far by this weekend for sure.

My Altima (06 2.5 S Special Edition) is my every day driver, so I just need an hour or two of quality time with it to clean it up and take some new pics.

Don't call your car a Special Edition and I won't call mine an SE.

My car is a Special Edition, and I have all the factory options and the badge on the trunk to prove it.
