Jim Harte Nissan Mt. Kisco, NY

This dealership is by far, the worst I have ever dealt with. We leased a 2014 Maxima in September. While looking over the car, I noticed that there a dent in the front cover (bumper), and the alignment to the hood was not correct, one of the sales personnel started to debate with me that the alignment between the cover and the hood were fine "did you see the one in the showroom ?" he tells me......I told him "I didn't care about the 2012 in the showroom, this is unacceptable !"....and after showing him that one of the two in the showroom was actually correct, and one was not, and threatening to leave and go somewhere else, they said they would take of it. So, we signed off on the car, and returned two weeks later to send it to the body shop.....it took over an hour to finally get a loaner, and go on our way. The next day, I called the body shop working on the car, and they said they "are ready to paint it and send it back"......I asked "what about the alignment issue?"....the body shop had no idea what I was talking about....I then called Jim Harte Nissan, and spoke to the GM, who then started to get a little testy with me for contacting the body shop, stating "It's privileged information who they use, and the last thing we need is a customer telling our body shop how to repair a car !".....little does he know, although we are currently in Ct, I was raised in the area, spent 20+ years in the auto business, and know every shop. As it turns out, the body shop convinced the dealer that the front cover needed to be replaced....had it not been for my intervention, and I believe the body shop, the car would not have been done correctly. We also requested the car be prepped over, as the first Pre / Detail was not done....looked like a quick wash and out the door.....tire pressures never set, tape marks on the body, just terrible. When we did pick up the car, the swirl marks from their idea of a detail was dizzying.....being I was growing tired of this circus, I have made an appointment get the car detailed at my cost. It doesn't end yet folks....they took their time paying off my trade, and we were getting phone calls from Ally looking for a payment.....and get this, our temporary tag runs out tomorrow, and they have not gotten the new car registered yet, so now our new Maxima sits in the driveway as a paper weight.....I am absolutely floored at all the issues....how does this place survive........we are now on day two of my Wife needing to find rides back and forth to work, as her new Maxima sits in the driveway
