Removing Carburetor from E15 engine.

Hello,
I have an 89 S-Cargo but it uses the same engine as the Sentras--E15. I want to remove the carb to rebuild it as the car is running poorly with rough idle, lots of missing, stalls when put into drive or reverse. I can't find any vacuum leaks, I replaced plugs, wires, cap. Carb is all that's left. Already cleaned the EGR as well.
I cannot see where this carb is bolted to the manifold. I think it's bolted from underneath and since the carb is located on the firewall side of the engine, it's even harder to get to. Are there any tricks or secrets to getting this thing off or do I need to remove the entire intake manifold to get to these mounting bolts? Do I need to be under the car to get to these bolts? Never had a carb so difficult to remove like this one.
All answers welcome.
