Hi, I am doing a clutch replacement on my 06 Nissan Altima (2.5 DOHC 4CYL) and I have replaced the clutch with a (EFT Racing Clutch Kit). The kit included the pressure plate, clutch disc, & the release bearing. After I installed the clutch kit and put everything back together, I noticed that when I try to start it, the engine turns over a couple times and then nothing. It sounds like it wants to start but also sounds like the cams timing is off. (For the record I never touched the cams) The old clutch bearings were bad and the clutch was slipping that’s why I decided to switch it out. I do smell I burned fuel from the exhaust when I try to start it as well. I checked all wiring, grounds, fuses and everything seems fine and connected. The battery is brand new and I do hear the starter working. I already dropped the transmission twice and at this point my mind can not come up with a solution. Also the clutch pedal is a little squishy. Please help! What am I missing????
