What’s up guys. I just swapped my engine in my 07 Altima (2.5L) with a 2.5 from an 06’ Altima. I had to swap over some engine mounts and flywheel but everything else was plug and play. When I crank the car for the first time it runs like crap and when I put it in forward or reverse the car wants to bog down and stall and not move anywhere. Please help!!!

Look at the flywheel, if the crank sensor reads on it to establish ignition timing and injectors then you may have a problem there.

Did you do a flywheel comparison; why did it swap?

The engines are NOT the same, balancers moved, other changes and the former '06 2 stage intake dropped to a single path one and you may have issue there too. The cams changed to possibly need new software.

The engines are quite a bit different and you may have crossed a line.

I solved my issue. I really do appreciate your input though. All it was was the shift linkage wasn’t in the exact spot as it was when I took it off. I loosened the nut and bumped the shift solenoid about a 1/16” and I heard a click. I tightened the nut and the car moves through the gears now without bogging down and stalling. I still have some skipping due to an o2 sensor that’s bad and running rich that I’m changing tomorrow but all in all I’m feeling pretty victorious now with my first engine swap under my belt
