OKay, to finally close the book on this whole thing, will all those who have a GReddy Street Performance cat-back exhaust on a 1st gen Altima please reply this post, and the poll, with the following info:

Model year (ex. 1993, 1994, etc.)
Model trim (XE, GXE, GLE, or SE)
Transmission (5-speed or automatic)
Stock header and catalytic converter or Aftermarket header and/or catalytic converter
California or Federal Emissions
Exhaust bolted right on or Exhaust required modification

Please DO NOT post your theological or theoretical answers... Only post your known, experienced information. Thanks.

Mohamed, you should also ask if they have califonia emmisions or not, and if they have OBDI(?) 1 or 2.

'93 GXE, automagic, stock header/cat when installed, required the GReddy to be cut approx. 2", I'd say...

Mine needed slight mod to make it fit the cat. I didn't do it a muffler shop did. I have a '93 GXE Auto. And I haven't had any cops bug me about the noise.

It was a few inches too long....so rather then cut up the Greddy I just tossed the cat and made the pipe the proper length to fit. Much better:D

mine is obdII with cali emissions and it bolted right up

brandie1980 has a second gen also cali emissions and it bolted right up

the only thing we had to do on both cars is drill out the bolt holes in the cat cause they are threaded

My greddy had to be welded to the silencer (where the cat used to be) and then bent pipe before the muffler had to be heated up and moved to the right since i have a jt evo rear bumber. Had to go to a shop and costed me about $60. Passed emissions without any probs in IL.

Not sure on the emissions, but I had to whack about 2 inches off the greddy, made a slip fit in it, and welded it back together. Got it re-powdercoated gray.
