I'm looking/testdriving a 2000 Altima GXE tomorrow. How do I tell if the car's got the following options:
1) Anti-Lock Brakes
2) Lighted Entry System
3) Side Air Bag Restraints

I don't even know what a Lighted Entry System is.

anti lock brakes look for the abs soliniod

i dont have but thats were it would be
its a metal box with metal tubed comin out of it

for the lighted entry u need the night time
when u unlock the doors the light wont just come on it will slowly
britin up

and for the 3rd look for the words abs or airbag on the sides of the seats

ABS equipped cars should have an indicator light (sometimes called an idiot light) on the dash that will light up when you turn the key to the on position. That would be a quick check from inside the car.

If you're going to get a 2000 GXE, then you need to get the fully loaded one in order to get the options that you want.

You have to look for a GXE with the VOP (value option package) and Appearance & Convience package.

Look for a GXE with the OEM 16" rims and the strut tower bar, and you found a car with the side airbags and ABS.

drive to 45MPH.. then hit the brakes hard.. if you feel a pulse in the brakes, you've got ABS.

and the SRS system will say SRS/airbag on the seats.

You will be much happier w/ an SE, if you find one in your price range.

I got the GLE and added the SE parts, I could have got the SE for less than my total costs.

yeah. right now, we're gonna look for a car for my gf: 93 GXE, leather and a few more options for cheap. low milage too. Hopefully, she'll get that 93, I'll get the 2k, and we'll be Altima BF/GF...hehe
