OK, I have this really stupid cocky guy that I work with that has a early or mid 90's Ford 150. It is completely stock except for the fact that he SAYS that he has a different 6 speed hauling transmission in it.

Is there ANY way that this truck could beat me in the 1/4? I mean it's a stock V6 Ford 150 with a cap on the back!? No way it'll beat my Altima right?

Thanks. :)

The guy could have one of those 6/12 gear transmissions. I know Gear Vendors sells them. Each gear has a high and a low, so that equates to 12 effective gears. I can't remember if it was either Hennessey or Lingenfelter that puts those trannys into their cars. It could be that both of them do.

Not "No" but "Hell No". Even a 2001 F-150 with the 4.6l V-8, more HP and Torque than the earlier straight six, 5-speed, only does 10 flat 0-60 and 17.5 in the 1/4.
Practice steering with one hand while waving out the back window.
