I have a 99 altima but my car is in the shop, so i got a rental car which happend to be the 2001 L series saturn 2.2liter engine 135hp seemed pretty zippy.
I'm driving down Hylan Blvd in staten island with another friend when we see the a kid on the new 2001 alty becuase he didnt have plates yet. Blasting music looking all cool, the same way i look when i drive my alty. anyway once the light turns green we gun it i waited like half a sec to see if he would go fast and he almost passed me . I started pulling away from 3rd gear. It was Automatic. My friend also has the 2001 155hp altima. so we race later that day and i pull away pretty much after 4 seconds . I was so surprised i thought our altima would destroy a stupid saturn.
by the way. the saturn weighs more than the altima. about 60lbs more
