I was wondering if someone could please help with a problem my Sentra has been experiencing. Recently, my car will get stuck out of nowhere. It doesn't shift and makes a lot of noise. Every time this happens, I pull over on the side of the road, turn off the car, and wait a minute or two. Once I start back on, the car is completely normal again and drives fine. This does not occur every time I drive the car. It happens once in a while. The check engine light turned and after plugging in my code reader, I got code P0720. I am not sure of what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My first guess would be your transmission fluid is too low for the transmission to operate. Shutting off, allows the remaining fluid to pool and allows normal behaviour to resume. Check ATX transmission fluid level. My second guess would be you have a shift solenoid failure, either wiring or solenoid related. I do not believe you have any faulty sensors.
