So I removed the cover of my transmission and found metal pieces inside. Any ideas of where it’s from/What it is? Would I potentially need to change the entire valve body? And the liquid is the left over transmission fluid that was emptied out

You are walking until you get a new transmission bud. Those are CVT chainbelt remains, the belt exploded.

Aren't those the patented "Nissan CVT Anti-Noise Reducers"?

When you see these, your CVT is no longer making noise, as your car is immobile.
