Does anyone know of or have experience with any performance chips for the 2010 Altima 2.5 SL? I see some for the Maxima but wasn't sure which ones are made specifically for the 2010 Altima 2.5 SL? The various chip seller websites seem more interested in taking your money then telling you specifically what cars they work for.

Any ideas on the gain to be expected and if they assume a typhoon K&N intake I just installed as well I am considering installing a Nismo Catback exhaust.

You can't put a "chip" in a 4th gen Altima. You have to use a "piggy back" controller, or a reprogrammed ECU. There are lots of threads, but little info, on this subject. Read through all the "Bully Dog" thread, for example. Expect to spend several hundred dollars if you find something.

From what I've read on here all chips for 4th gens are complete garbage.

you want performance, you got the wrong engine unless you can dump 7grand into a turbo system.

now that "chips" thats funny because that is what they are made to do, take your money...people believe that they can just put this random computer chip in a car and make it go vrooom faster....there is fine tuning you could do, but you have to have supporting mods to make it worth your while

also about those other things you listed, if you really want to get stuff like that search on here what your best options are as far as products go, dont just spend money because it sounds cool

I guess you need to read some more. There are some aftermarket ECUs that are good- but they are pretty expensive. If you're talking about a "chip" for less than $100, then you are right, those are garbage.
