I drive a 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe with 68,000 miles on it.

Not too long ago, a dash messaged appeared for a low key fob battery. I have updated the batteries in both my key fobs. But now there is a yellow key light appearing on my dash. This light has been appearing on and off. At some points not allowing me to start my vehicle. It takes multiple tries to start my vehicle. Sometimes I start my vehicle, the light appears- then I put it in drive and then back into park the light will disappear.

After examining my vehicle - it does not have the steering column lock unit and it also does not have the electrical piece for the steering lock under the hood in the electrical box.

When the car is not starting - the steering and brake remains tight/locked (all the lights and amenities will come on but engine will not start) when that happens I’ve heard tiny clicks when trying to start the vehicle. At some points it’s taken up to 10 tries just to get it to start.
