I searched and see a lot of threads where its recommended a lot the 235 50 17's for the stock 3.5 Rim, but I haven't seen any people say if the 235 45's would work or not. It's time for new tires and was wondering if 235 45's would work on our stock rims? Can anyone shed some light, please?

Also, I see some people don't recommend the 245 50's, but what about 245 45's?

Thx.

I have 235/50/17 on mine and even that is starting to get too wide but its ok, so dont go to 245. 235/45 will fit but youre going to have some speedometer and odometer error(not in your favor). 235/50s are recommended because its incredibly close to stock diameter. Most people will agree if you want to go to skinny sidewalls get some 18 or 19 inch rims if your wallet supports it.

Well, I'm getting into autocross now and need wider tires but need to stay on my stock rims. So I need the widest tire for the best handling possible.
