ok i have the 2nd Gen my older brother has the 3rd Gen...of course his has the 240hp one and mine is, of course the 155hp. the advantage I have is mine is a stick and his an automatic...I want to know how to narrow the gap between the engines...I got the CAI from placeracing....so....now what guys...what would you do next? I don't want NOS it scares me! afraid to burn engine up...help me out cause he is gloating BIG TIME!!!!!!

from what i hear nos is very safe, especially because the altimas internals are very strong (from what i hear)

Umm turbo. I'm pretty sure those things run low 15sso you don't have much of a chance. I can only think of two all motor Altimas that are near that, and that is with a lot of mods. Nitrous would be your best bet. Pull out some of his spark plug wires.

he he! no you'd be suprised...the gearing on his car ins't that impressive we were crusing at about 40 and punched it i beat him....his 3rd gear sux...I know i can't beat him I just wanna kinda hang with him!

Altima 5-speed 3.5 SEs run about 14.7 so I think with a slushbox it may be possible to hang. And I'd go with Headers and Exhaust (cat, muffler & full piping). But I think you'll mostly hang from a rolling start.

Your borther's car is making 90 more hp over you. Plus the new Altima isn't much heavier than the 2nd gen. I think you will get smoked everytime. Maybe your brother wasn't really punching it and is still going easy breaking it in. It didn't sound like he was flooring it.
