OK
since I last posted it has gotten worse
I come back from europe and the car seemed to hesitat more
Well
NOW the car is Junk.

It has NO power from take off
It is reving WAY to high in 1st
When I hit third gear the rev shoot down to 1ish (RPM)
and I loose all control over the gas

at any givin time you try and give it gas and you just sit there
That wasnt the worse

recently
When on the highway
The car will begin to "bounce"
between 3rd and overdrive
(3 - 5k rpm)
So I can never gain speed.

It sucking gas down like crazy
It is getting embarrising.I cant pass a school bus now !!

So FINALLY its at a point that the dealer cannot dispute a problem.
I bring it in adn they do thier tests

It comes back as error code: P0744 (A/T TCC S/V FNCTN)
and requires a valve body for transmission???

They tell me to drive the car in 3rd gear till the replacement comes

Now my Check Engine Soon light is on
(They say its triggered cuz of the diag software)

She is going in tomorrow.

My poor baby

Anyone give me some detail as to what this is (Err code)
(Valve bodY?)
I am not finding much online

Hope this helps
And thanks

Sounds like your tranny codes caused your engine to go into "limp" mode. How long did you drive it like this? Valve body may fix your problem, but the question is did driving like that affect anything else in the tranny (worn bands or burnt clutches)? I think if I were you I'd push for a complete tranny replacement. Not saying you're going to succeed, but it's worth a try.

If these guys have a brain when they take down the valve body thay will examine the pan and look for excessive clutch material and make repairs accordingly. If they have a brain is key here !!!!!!!!!

Updated update

Well
I am at work,
dropped off my car this mourn to get the valve replaced

I just got a call,
"Um hello ,
I just had some questions.
Do you beat on your car?
Do you race against ppl?

We notice that ur front tires are balder than back,
and that you have Floor mats that say NOS on them

It doesnt void your warrenty, but just so u know,
these cars have alot of power and sometimes the transmission doesnt keep up??????????????."

So after all this
I have to wait even longer for trans to arrive and install

Brand new car
03 - no miles when I got it (6 months ago)
Now it has 9k
all highway
Garage kept
34k total
$597 a month

and already I need a new transmission.

ANY thoughts?

Yeah here's my thought, you got brutally ass-raped on the price.

As far as your tranny problems, I would keep every single document you have pertaining to this, and raise a stink to the dealer and Nissan corporate headquarters. Also talk to a lawyer and see what rights you have concerning lemon laws if your state has any.

Fwd trannies have always been the weak spot of every fwd car made. The old Grand National was scheduled to be fwd but they couldn't find a tranny to handle the power so it became a RWD. This car certainly has the power and it seems that a little imperfection in the tranny seems to become major. Best of luck and don't take any shit from the Nissan Service people.

I know I got raped but I wanted the car
I tried looking into the lemon law out here and it seems that I have to have it worked on 4 times for the same related problem?..

I dont "really" beat on the car
sometimes I giver some gas
On avg i cruise 80s

Get this
Finance is through NMAC which is thier own finance corp.
I knew I had really bad credit
And was going from 14.3% rate down to 10.9%
(Why I buy a new car every couple yrs)

I put down 5k plus a 2001 LE altima

So arent Nissan making all the cash on this?
as in there are no 3rd party financing going on.

I am going to look into contacting HQ,
as far as I am concerned the car is tainted.

I got this over a bmw because of the HP per price.
Now im being told that the car cant handle itself?

Thats bull,
and am I going to run into the same problem later?

If you do a search i think others have had their valve bodies replaced. ALOT of burning smells from the car. THis maybe something related. My car stinks from a burning smell from time to time also. This is a definite issue. Please continue with the updates...

So I call to get an update at the end of the week
And the parts havent been ordered yet
ARG!

Then the sales mgr the service Dude and another salesman
start with the same crap
telltale signs of misuse.
Worn front tires etc.
This is such crap

Even to the extent of whether this will be covered or not.
There is nothing that I did to this car that would have warrented
the trans blowing.

there isnt much I can do right now but wait
The have had my car 7 days now.

Where in Ct do u live n[]x?

where did u get your nissan? i hope you didnt get it at george harte nissan like i did. if so, take it somewhere else those damn fools dont know nothing and they will always try and play you as the sucker.

did they try and give u extended warranties, life insuarnce, and vehicle protection program coverage and all that bull? theydid for me....i told em i didnt want it, i signed the papers for them anyway.. when my dad saw my contract he said i got played like a fool. i went the next day to cancel all those coverages and it toook almost 5grand off my total....funny how when i call headquarteres they havent received any of this info. i called my lawyer and actually im going to tal to them today about this crap and seeing what he can do for me. i got raped becasue now im paying interest on 5grand worth of stuff i dont have anymore. my total was abut 32k but now it should be around 27k. i also got rraped for monthly payments im paying 522/month. i wondered why it was so high even though my salesman and i worked out a monthly payment of 350 if i put 7k down and finianced 20g's thru them and not thru my bank. i got played like a fiddle but i leanred my lesson and now they will feel the wrath of my laywer muwhahahhaa.......sorry got carried away there and off topic.

Im in Tolland
Half hour from hartford
I went to Decormier Nissan
As I went to school with the owners son
I thought I would get taken care of

Well as of 7am this mourning
The Service Mgr called

Says
Well Nissan will only cover this once,
as it is due to the Tires being Spun???
"The front tires are 3 times balder than back"

I looked at my girls new Camry
bought within months of each other,
and they are pretty damn bald

I dont dispute that there may have been times that I sqealed out
But to ruin my trans.?
I will NEVER buy another Nissan because of this.
(I wanted the new max)

can you guys give me some Facts so I can go in more educated.
They claim that in my 6 mts of ownership that I ruined the trans
yet I had issues 1 month out of the dealer ship.

they claim that I have been smoking the tires and that ruined trans
I havnt.

Thx

Sounds like a load of crap. I checked my front tires and they look crappy after 8000 miles. I have a depth mic here at work and I will check the depth the of rears compared to the fronts when I get a chance. What was the actual failure in the transmission? The manager has to be able to tell you what part failed?? Were the clutches in the clutch pack gone? Was the fluid burnt? Something went wrong, they should tell you exactly what it was. How many miles on the car anyway?

I have 9k on it

It was 7am when he called so I am having a hard time remembering

I *think* that he said something was worn out
Ill try and find out
