ok how and where do i install the speaker son a 4 channel amp?
I'll second that motion.

I'm guessing you're asking what terminals on the amp to plug your speaker wires plug into.

Ya know you won't get any help unless you provide a few details. Like what amp it is, and what exactly you are trying to do.

u have to run rca cables (sometimes called interconnects) from the back of your head unit to the rca input on you amp. if you head unit doesn't have rca outs you can find a converter somewhere (radio shack) that will take your bare speaker wire from you h/u an convert it to rca. (if you dont know rcas look like circles about a cm in diameter with a hole in the midlle, they will be on the side of your amp)

Are you asking about inputs to the amp from the HU? Or are you asking where in the car to run the wires from the amp to the speakers?

You need to put a lot more effort into communicating your needs before anyone will put any effort into answering.

alright, sorry about the confusion, i dont need to know about the rca's, someone i think said it, take a piece of speaker wire and solder it to the front and rear speaker terminals. then obviousely from that point to the amp. is this correct? do i keep the wires that are already hooked up to the speakers on there or so i clip those and totally new ones? and i already have a sub amp, im planning on getting another sub amp(one for each sub) and an mtx 4 channel amp. so the question there is do i splice the remote turn on or how else would i get the amps to turn on? i have the shitty ass sony xplod head unit, the 610 i think(the one wehre the face flips around with the active black display) so there are 3 sets of pre outs. one i know is for the sub amp and i assume the other two are for another sub amp and one 4 channel amp. if anyone knows what im talking about the advice would be great. im confused. thanks

you've got your shit all messed up. I think you're talking about high input levels, but your head unit has RCA's. Look, to wire three amps, all you need to do is run three set of rca wires from the h.u. to your amps, then power, ground, remote. That's it, you don't have to splice into any speaker wires to run your amp since you have RCA's.

ok that answered one part of the question but now for the other, how do i amp the speakers? i dont htink your understanding me, the front and rear speakers...how do i amp them. what do i wire them to and how do i run the wire? keep everything the way it is and run a seperate speaker wire off of that to the speakers or fromt he RCA's in the HU run to the amp, then disconnect the speakers and hook them up to the amp?

okay i'll give it one last try

power cable from battery goes to amp
ground in trunk
remote wire from h.u. to amp
rca's from h.u. to amp
speakers wires from amp directly to rear speakers, and to power the front speakers, theres two ways. Either run the wires the same way as your rca's to the h.u., disconnect the front speaker channels to the h.u. and connect the wires from the amp, or you can run them the same way but directly to the speakers through the doors, which is pretty hard to do

Okay, I think I understood somewhat. Yeah, run new wires from the 4 channel amp to the speakers.

For the remote wire. Run 1 wire from the head to the trunk(I assume you are putting both amps in the trunk. get two separate pieces of remote wire, one for each amp(long enough to reach from the splice point to the amp it's going to). Get a pack of butt end connectors. They're small tubes of insulation around a small metal tube. Strip the ends of all three wires, then put in one side the remote wire from the HU. The other end will have BOTH amp remote wire sections twisted together and put into it. Crimp the butt end and voila!

For the speaker wires, ya might want to use spade connectors to hook into the amps output terminals instead of soldering. Unless you're comfortable with soldering. Run the wires under the carpet. The front speakers will probably have to go through the door, just follow any existing wires. Use a wire loom to protect them where they run from the car chassis into the door.

You might want to get a professional to run your speaker wire, because that's going to be the worst part.
