Too cheap... sounds fishy, would be a good a idea to let mechanic look at it. He might tell u it needs $2000 forth of work.

When u get something too cheap, you may as well pay twice.

i smell a project car. for that price, get it no matter. just rebuild the motor and trans. id look mainly for a clean title and see if there is any signs of a previous wreck.

Consumer Rated Condition: Excellent
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks great, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. It should pass a smog inspection. The engine compartment should be clean, with no fluid leaks. The paint is glossy and the body and interior are free of any wear or visible defects. There is no rust. The tires are the proper size and match and are new or nearly new. A clean title history is assumed. This is an exceptional vehicle.

Private Party Value $4,150

Blue Book value doesn't mean much. Market value is what's important, but it's somewhat hard to judge that. does a good job at giving you an idea of what you should be looking at, though.

As for that car, it seems a little too good to be true. Unless the market sucks in that guy's area, $2900 is fishy cheap. I just (as in less than two weeks ago) picked up my '94 SE with 103K for $3600.

Make sure you get it checked thoroughly and get a CarFax done on it, as well.

I got my 94 GXE (leather, ac, 5 sp)

for 500 dollars

It did have 193,000 miles :\

But this bitch runs string, and surprizes everyone when I take them for a drive. Dog the simple 4 dr al you want, this bad boy runs like a champ, and enjoys making ricer boys look twice at my trunk!

All it needed: a Clutch, AC Compressor, wiper blades, and 2 front tires.

It gives me a rason to drive it like I stole it!
