98 Altima rear speaker removal

11773 Views 17 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  amc49
I want to replace those shitty factory speakers and put in some Alpine R's in there. My question is: How do I get those removed? Can anyone provide me with links where I can find a step by step guide (tutorial), video, and any other suggestions.

Honestly ReallY?? This is how you treat new members.

First off, I did search. And I did get that same info. I wanted to know all my options you cock sucker. **** you for being a prick. I don't care that you gave me instructions. Don't talk to people like they are shit, ****in punk ass bitch.

This is why people join forums to get as much info as possible its not because i'm lazy it's because I had a hard time finding info and then when you do find info you get info that could be misleading. So that's why people join specific forums like this and post replies.

Second: I didn't want to get my answers mixed up. Two different topics hence two different threads. Same genre yes..Speaker hook up, but two very different locations.

****in Ass face, take that cock out of your mouth.
^ ok lemme make a suggestion, instead of trying to insult and cuss him out take his advice and leave it at that, your new and this (even without) searching is a pretty basic question with an obvious answer, people will respect you more in the long run if you don't respond that way....another tip idk if you noticed when searching but if you go into advanced searching you can limit where it searches so if you have a question about a 98 limit it to look in the 93-01 section that should help ya out a lil bit that being said welcome to the club!
All i'm saying is respect me, and i'll respect you.
the panel doesnt come up like that right? i had to take off the backseat cushion in order to take out the..uhh... 'cushion pillars'? on the sides, so i can take out the plastic panles on the side, and THEEN the top back dash panel... please tell me i didnt do all that for no reason haha...
woohh.. my bad, my comp freaked out...
98-01 Alt Rear speaker installation.

1st: 2 bolts underneath the bottom back seat where the floor and the seat meet. Remove. Push the seatbelts through the holes, and take the bottom back seat out.

2nd: There are four parts to the upper back seat. The two smaller side pieces, and the two main cusions in the middle. You want to remove the two smaller side pieces. There is a screw holding them in where you remove the back seat, remove the screws, and slide the seat piece upward, and it should come out. Do that for both sides.

3rd: Pull the other two parts of the back seat down. There are four gray plastic pieces that form the oval cut out between the back seat and the trunk. Take all the push pins, out, and remove the four gray plastic pieces.

4th: There are bolts holding the driver and passenger side seatbelts in. Remove the bolts on each sides. You can let them sit there unbolted for now.

5th: Now the removal of the rear deck. On each side next to the rear window there is a large plastic piece going into the rear deck. Both sides need to be removed in order to get the rear deck out. Just pull them off and lift them out, it may take a little force, but they should come out with no problem.

6th: Push the third brake forward, and pull it up, and pop it out. You can either unplug the harness, or just take the socketed bulb out of the 3rd brake light housing to remove the 3rd brake light.

7th: Now remove all the push pins in the rear deck and it should lift right up.

8th: Where the seat belt is coming out of the rear deck, there is a little plastic piece with a split in the middle. You can push it in, and out, and since you unbolted the seatbelts, you can feed the seatbelt right through the hole to completely release the rear deck.
You could have definitely found all the info you need if you searched as well. And obviously, I just quoted myself from another thread exactly like this, that I found in a matter of a minute by searching.
i gave you all the fucking info you needed....speaker removal isnt rocket science...just by looking at the situation you can see you gotta take the back panel out....or did you even check that out? all you had to do was assess the situation and act accordingly...its not my fault your a fucking idiot...

You know blackAlti I don't know if you're an admin or what and I know this is an Old Post you might not even be alive and with that attitude I wouldn't be surprised. I really don't think he was being an asshole, I'm hard-pressed to say that it seems like you're the one that was being the asshole he just asked a question in general he didn't ask you in particular and I know it's none of my business but I I think it definitely needed to be addressed and it wasn't. I know this is an Old Post may be 5 or 10 years old but who needs somebody with that attitude giving them advice I damn sure wouldn't ask you. I would have cussed you out right off the bat. So maybe you should have an attitude check handle it how you want....
A guy comes here THIRTEEN YEARS later and gets his feelings hurt over a reply not even to him?

I keep wondering why the Nissan marque seems to draw so many child-persons to it to then act like they are half their age.
