OK, another question. Sometimes when I accelerate there is not much of a response for a few seconds (have to keep pushing down on the gas), and then all of a sudden it kicks in and takes off. Is my fuel injection clogged or something???

try some fuel injector cleaner. Only a couple of bucks at any local parts store, and its the cheapest way to start tackling the problem.

Do you have an automatic? If so, you might be pressing the gas pedal to the point where the transmission downshifts to give you better acceleration. You would have a big jump in rpm's when this happens.
