I seem to have this jumping rpms/bad idle/stalling problem. However, I can drive the car smoothly for a while it runs fine. It always happens at about the same amount of time.I see jumping rpms first and when i pull over it idles roughly and stalls. After it stalls, the car will not start. If I leave the car there for a couple hours, the car will start fine and I'm able to make it from point A to point B fine, given the amount of time.

My mechanic changed the sparkplugs and cap/rotor since he saw a diagnostic code about electric breakdown. It did not help.

Then I took the car to MIDAS. They duplicated the problem. They didnot see any diagnostic codes but suggested it could be a electric system problem. Also recommended fuel injectors cleanup. The last cleanup was one year back.

But why would the car start and run for a while if it is a electric system problem ?

Please help! I have no clue!
