Altima 2002 SE beat BMW M3 Coupe, No way. WOW, it is true!

Do I need to say more?

The Altima has something other cars don't: a full trophy case

2002 Canadian Car of the Year - AJAC (Auto Journalists of Canada)*
North America Car of the Year - Internation Auto Show in Detroit
Best New Family Car (Over C$25,000), SE - AJAC**
Best New Family Car (Under C$25,000) - AJAC***
Best Family Sedan under $30,000 - World of Wheels Editor's Choice Award
Overall Car of the Year - Motoring 2002
Best Family Car of the Year - Motoring 2002

* Altima 2002 beat BMW M3 coupe
** Altima 2002 SE beat Audi A4 1.8T, Passat SLS 4-Motion
*** Visit www.ajac.org for details

Hey! I am planning to purchase a Alt SE (6-sp), I wish the best will be better in Year 2003 model which will provide a smooth 6-sp stick shifter, high interior quality materials and better controls over torque sheer.

Do you guys think my wish will come true?

If you are not willing to pay the extra for the BMW M3 Coupe, the Altima SE is a better car, at least in your eyes.

Let me know where to find an Alt 6 Spd.... ;)
I am sorry that I have misleaded you. I only wish Nissan will include a 6-sp shifter in the Year 2003 SE model, 'cause I am planning to buy a Year 2003 model.;)

Keep on wishing, because it won't happen as far as I could predict! The Altima is already playing in Maxima's territory and the Max's sales are affected. I don't think they will upgrade the Alty and make matters worse.
For 2003, they will concentrate on the Max to better define its market and target customers and to differentiate it from the Alty. However, how they will to that without playing in Infinit's playground is kind of a blurry notion.

the only problem with this, is that out of all the awards, the bulk you posted are Family Car of the Year...

the M3 ISN'T a family car.

but it DID win Best New Luxury/Prestige Car Over $55K
We are talking about the "Canbdian Car of the Year 2002", which was voted from all catagories including economy, Family <C$25K, Family >C$25K, Luxury, Prestige, Sports <C$35K and Sport >C$35K (BMW Coupe M3). We all understand that Altima SE cannot beat the performance and handling of BMW M3, but Altima SE beat BMW M3 on the overall voting. What so good about the car that I cannot effort to buy. Ha! When I am getting rich, it will be a totally different story. I will buy a BMW M3 instead of Altima SE.
