Nissan Sentra 2008 Base 2.0L Petrol CVT
Hello folks, I need help
I replaced my tranny with a used one (CVT) everything is working fine but I have noticed hard shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear; btw I know CVT doesn't have a shift point like traditional automatic gearbox but its mimics it.
I feel my transmission lag to shift from 1st to 2nd.

Do I need to reprogram something ? Caliberation or mechanical stuff?
Can you direct me to monitor anything via OBD? TCM,ECM?

Please help

Shift lag and hard 'shifts' can be signs of a line pressure leak due to wear. A real good possibility that the replacement trans is bad too, not the first person to experience it, CVT being a common reason cars are junked.

I doubt if its a bad transmission, I see so much improvement in this one than my old one I replaced.
More power, smooth shift (Except from 1st to 2nd), no trouble code, good fuel economy.

Might be just TCM software update or just a calibration reset, or software related.

With most of these electronic transmissions the ROM, that little electronic "black box" on the old transmission should be put on the new transmission, otherwise after a swap it may need to be initialized by the dealer, to work properly. Yes isn't electronics wonderful?
